Správně vyvážené plodiny vyžadují dobře vyváženou půdu. Zatímco uhlík je pravděpodobně nejdůležitějším prvkem pro organický život, rychlost růstu a sílu rostliny ovlivňuje správný poměr dusíku a síry v půdě spolu se správným množstvím uhlíku. Tyto poměry lze snadno zjistit rychlou a přesnou analýzou uhlíku, dusíku a síry, např. přístrojem LECO CNS928s makronavážkami vzorku.

Za účelem změny poměru prvků v půdě lze použít celou řadu hnojiv. Ale pokud neznáte složení své půdy, nemůžete prakticky vědět, co taková půda vyžaduje. Přístroj LECO's CNS928 vás nejistoty o půdě zbaví.

Hélium je sice stále inertním plynem číslo jedna, když přijde na kvalitativní analýzu, nicméně jeho zásoby jsou omezené a cena roste. Přístroj CNS928 je navržen tak, aby podporoval jako nosný plyn buď hélium, nebo argon. Rozdíl v tepelné vodivosti mezi těmito dvěma plyny není tak výrazný jako rozdíl v tepelné vodivosti mezi héliem a dusíkem, takže detektor je při stanovování dusíku pomocí argonu ve své podstatě mnohem méně citlivý. Přístroj CNS928 však nabízí možnost použití větší alikvotní (vzokovací) trubice o objemu 10 cm³. Tato alikvotní (vzokovací) trubice o objemu 10 cm³ pomáhá překonat nižší citlivost argonu jako nosného plynu optimalizací systému pro nejnižší rozsah dusíku a zajišťuje nejvyšší přesnost.
